Has it really been over a month since my last post?
So much has happened. I've been blessed to be able to go teaching several times with the Sisters. I learn so much every time I team-up with them. The joy I feel when sharing the Gospel, just makes me that much more determined to do what I have to do to be able to serve my own mission
Got back into my Spanish studies today. Began reading the Book of Mormon in Spanish. I am a major bookworm and reading has always been easy, almost effortless, for me. This is definitely not. Took me almost an hour to get thru the introduction and the Testimonies of the 3 and 8 Witnesses plus Joseph Smith's Testimony. I know it will get easier I just have to stay on track. I've set a goal to finish el Libro de Mormon by 1 Septiembre. I like a challenge!
Piano studies have been non-existent lately and I need to get back on that. I am really bad about getting myself to practice left-hand. I thought of something to help me want to practice more. I like to be able to play music I can recognize, so I am re-writing a few of my favorite songs to have the melody played on the bass clef staff. This way I can tell by ear when I am off and at the same time get more practice reading music. Hopefully this will help me get stronger playing with my left hand.
So much is changing. Friends coming and going. I've had half a dozen friends leave for their missions in the last 3 months and I have more leaving in the next 4 months! I admire my friends that are leaving to serve and I am staying focused on that goal for myself. Once I have lost the weight I need to, I am going to serve. Heavenly Father has given me so much and I can never repay that debt, but I can cheerfully give 18 months of my life to Him as a small way of saying thank you.
